Making good ventilation yourself is easy. The first step for her is a decent hood. It is enough for her to buy a fan with a check valve that does not let air from the street, a plastic pipe with a diameter equal to the fan and a plastic ventilation grill for installation from the front side. The following steps are described step by step on how to make this part of the ventilation of the apartment with your own hands:
- Draw a circle on the wall so that it is a couple of cm larger than the diameter of the pipe;
- Using a punch, drill holes in a circle and in the middle;
- Use a hammer and a chisel to grind the hole for free passage of the pipe;
- Place the pipe in the hole and attach the fan to it. Fill the voids with polyurethane foam;
- Make sure that the pipe is located exactly on all sides and does not bend;
- Lead an electric cable to the hood in advance and install a switch for it;
- As the polyurethane foam dries, cut off its excess and putty inside and outside with appropriate putties;
- Install the grill on the front side so that the hood is protected and firmly in the wall.
