However, over time, the best installations become clogged, the air ducts become covered with a layer of compressed dirt, and performance decreases. This means that the ventilation system needs urgent cleaning. Timely, properly carried out cleaning of the ventilation system air ducts will ensure long-term, high-quality work.

The work instruction defines the mode of operation of the equipment and contains information:

• about the name of the institution, workshop, site;

• the frequency of cleaning or replacing filters;
• about the frequency of disinfection;
• on the frequency of control measurements of equipment efficiency.

As a rule, according to the schedule for cleaning the air ducts of ventilation systems, air heaters are cleaned of contamination once every six months or more often, depending on the operating conditions. Filters are inspected once a month, they are replaced as needed. The sanitary condition of the air ducts is checked once every 12 months.

The law "On the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population" became the main one for the instructions for cleaning and disinfection of ventilation. The universal ventilation cleaning instructions define measures to eliminate and prevent the spread of pathogens in ventilation systems.

The instruction was created for tenants and owners of buildings and premises, employees of sanitary services and administrators of facilities.

The schedule for cleaning the air ducts of ventilation systems is established taking into account the specifics of the enterprise, the amount and nature of impurities in the air.

In order to prevent disinfection, it is carried out once every 100 days or more often.

For disinfection, only drugs are purchased that are registered by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and have a certificate of conformity. When choosing a disinfecting drug, the characteristics of microorganisms and the quality of the drugs are taken into account. Workers conducting disinfection and cleaning of the ventilation system are pre-instructed and provided with protective equipment:

• respirators;
• protective goggles or masks;
• gloves;
• costumes.

Before starting work on cleaning and disinfection of ventilation systems, it is necessary to de-energize and wait for all equipment to stop, as well as invite a ventilation engineer.

The amount of the disinfectant depends on the treatment area; it is prepared immediately before use in a specially designated room. The system is disinfected in a strictly defined order:

• air ducts;
• filters;
• air inlet;
• air diffuser.

All work carried out is recorded in a logbook of the established form for cleaning ventilation.The journal belongs to the mandatory production control documentation.

Complex ventilation cleaning

Cleaning the ventilation system from fat is most in demand. Therefore, with a comprehensive service, this procedure is mandatory. Together with fatty deposits, the ventilation system is also freed from dust, microbes and viruses. If destruction or blockages are found, they are dismantled, the walls of the mines are restored.

• elimination of dust from the blades of exhaust fans;

The most difficult thing is to work with air ducts of large diameter or located at a considerable height. Special equipment is involved: brush and vacuum machines. But some places are cleaned only by hand with brushes of different sizes and degrees of hardness. When cleaning large-diameter air ducts, the worker is directly inside the ventilation system, therefore, he must wear a protective suit.

There is no approved sample ventilation cleaning log. The recommended forms contain the following information:

• Information about the organization that ordered the cleaning of ventilation from fat and disinfection:
  • The name of the company and its address;
  • Ventilation system type;
  • FULL NAME. the person in charge of maintenance.
• Information about the organization conducting the cleaning and disinfection:
  • Name and legal address;
  • The number of the sanitary and epidemiological conclusion, date of issue and validity period.
• Ventilation survey results;
• Data on the work performed in the form of a table:

• Ventilation cleaning results in an apartment building or industrial building;

• Additional information found during the survey.
